Polynucleotide treatment for the eyes

Polynucleotides kick start skin regeneration, repairing the damage that comes with ageing. In the eye area, this means effective reduction of dark circles, hollows and crow’s feet, a strong improvement in skin hydration and elasticity and a much brighter, smoother and more wide-awake look.

Treatment plan:

A full course of polynucleotide treatment requires three sessions at two-week intervals.

Results:

The results develop fully over three months, with a strong improvement visible after about six weeks. In some patients, the effects can be seen after the first session. The results will normally last for 6-9 months from your final treatment session.

Note:

This procedure is performed under local anaesthesia to minimise discomfort.

Tip:

Polynucleotides can also be used to boost eyebrow density and thickness. Please feel free to ask about this at your consultation.

  1. This treatment takes about 45 minutes, which includes a detailed consultation with your doctor.
  2. First, we apply numbing cream and make a small number of local anaesthetic injections into the area around the eye.
  3. We then place small amounts of injectable polynucleotide serum into the eye area.
  1. You may experience minor bruising and/or swelling. This should go away in a day or two.
  2. It is advisable not to apply makeup to the treated area for 24 hours or so.
  3. Over the next four weeks, try not to apply strong pressure to the area around your eye.
  4. Drink 1-2 litres of water a day for optimum results.
  5. For ongoing maintenance, we recommend a repeat session as needed (approximately every 6 months).

Patients should not be treated with polynucleotides:

  • during pregnancy or an active herpes outbreak, or
